Most of us, at some time or other, have had to motivate not only our subordinates but our colleges as well; not only at work but may be at social service programmes and religious functions and even during political campaigns.
Sometimes it is so hard to motivate even ourselves to accomplish something, so motivating others to work together to achieve a predetermined goal is a tremendous challenge. We are putting forward some thought we think might be of some help to you in motivating people under you.
· Motivation through fear is very short lived. Being bullied or threatened builds up resentment and takes a toll on work-quality and worker-commitment. Work will be done grudgingly and loyalty will take a back seat.
